This foundational session isn’t just about practising questions. It’s a full recalibration of how you present yourself professionally, designed by a team of professional interviewers, business psychologists, assessors, assessment designers, and career coaches who’ve built selection processes for some of the UK’s biggest employers.

Delivered online and completely tailored to you, the session begins with a structured interview reflection exercise exploring your values, motivation, teamwork style, communication approach, and career story. We’ll analyse how you currently communicate your experience — looking at clarity, structure, confidence, and impact — and provide practical feedback on where your strongest examples may be getting lost in nerves, overthinking, or too much detail.

Next, you’ll complete two short psychometric tools: one for career alignment (Holland Code) and another to sketch your working style (Lumina Splash). Alongside a The Prep Pod-designed guided workbook, these help us map how you work best — not just what you’ve done — so we can begin shaping fluent, authentic interview answers that feel natural to you.

Then it’s time for the live 1:1 coaching.

In our 60-minute Zoom session, we’ll rehearse common interview formats including:

* “Tell me about yourself”

* Motivation and values-based questions

* Strengths-based questions

* Situational and competency interviews

* Techniques for staying concise, structured, and memorable under pressure
